WILLY FOKKENA WRITING CONTEST

The family of Willy Fokkena and the Clarksville Public Library are pleased to announce the 4th Annual Writing Contest for all ages, in memory of Willy Fokkena.  Students are welcome to submit a piece that they already have written from school this year, it just has to be written by them in the last year.

Anyone who enjoys writing is encouraged to participate! There will be five categories in which the pieces will be judged and cash awards will be given to the top three places in each category (up to 3rd grade; 4th-6th grade; 7th-9th grade; 10th-12th grade; and Adults). The library is now accepting pieces of creative writing, poems, essays, or any original writing that you wish to enter! Please include your name, phone number, and which age category you are in.

The deadline is Wednesday, May 29th at 6:00 pm and can be dropped off, emailed, or mailed to the Clarksville Public Library. The winners will be announced on Thursday evening during Pioneer Days (June 6). Thank you for participating and helping the family keep Willy’s memory alive.
